Debby Stone is an affiliate with Artful Leadership and is an Atlanta-based certified, professional coach to executives and business professionals. She works with clients to develop and implement practical strategies to grow and succeed both professionally and personally. She also leads workshops and retreats focusing on skill-building and improving the effectiveness of teams.


Prior to becoming a coach, Debby spent over 16 years as practicing attorney, focusing on providing legal strategies that made sound business sense for her clients. She has experience working in a large corporate law firm and also founded her own firm, Stone Law Associates, Inc. Debby has also worked as a management consultant at Bain & Company and in human resources for Contel Service Corporation.

 

Debby received her certification as a professional co-active coach through the Coaches Training Institute and currently serves as co-Vice President for Programs of the Georgia Coach Association. She is co-founder of both Corner Office Coaching, which provides individual and group coaching as well as workshops to professional service providers in the context of their businesses, and GROWE (Georgia Roundtable of Women Entrepreneurs), an organization dedicated to helping women business owners thrive, professionally and personally. 

 

Debby is also active in the business community and serves as the 2005-2006 Co-President of ProWIN and is an active member of the Atlanta chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners, where she served as 2004-05 Vice President of Programs and was a finalist for Member of the Year in 2005. She hosts The Business Hour on Radio Sandy Springs.

 

Debby received her undergraduate degree magna cum laude from the Institute of Policy Sciences at Duke University and received her Juris Doctorate with high honors from the Duke University School of Law.

 

Debby enjoys running, making jewelry and reading novels. She is also an avid Duke basketball fan. Debby lives in Alpharetta, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta with her husband, teenage son, and four cats.
