Art Shirk is an affiliate with Artful Leadership and
is the founder and principal of Art Shirk Consulting—a coaching
and consulting practice focused on transformative learning and leadership
in organizations. His clients range from Fortune 500 corporations including
Fidelity Investments, Bristol-Myers Squibb, AT&T and others to smaller
organizations, teams and individuals. His specialization is in supporting
individuals and teams in building momentum for expansive change aligned
toward meaningful goals and purpose. Art served as the Senior Director
of Learning & Leading at Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey
throughout 2004, and has held a variety of senior level organizational
roles, including Vice President of Learning and Communications for Fidelity
Investments and Business Development Manager for Digital Equipment Corporation
(now Hewlett Packard).
In addition to providing consulting and coaching services to organizations, Art has been a faculty member of the University of Massachusetts Graduate School of Education, and the Capella University MBA program. He is currently a faculty member of the Coaches Training Institute based in California, and of Coaching Hall International based in Bogota Colombia. He holds the CPCC certification from the Coaches Training Institute and PCC certification from the International Coach Federation.
Art received his doctorate from the Department of Organization and Learning at Columbia University Teachers College. He holds a M.Ed. from the University of Massachusetts and MBA from Boston University.
